Nearby Maracas Bay is the most popular beach in Trinidad so it's a good place to start. We also recommend other beaches, birding spots, turtle-watching, caves and the famous La Brea pitch lake.
Trinidad has a rich history which you can explore by visiting these beautiful heritage sites the majority of which are free to see. We have so many heritage sites we needed two pages to try and fit them all. We highly recommend a walk around the Queen's Park Savannah with the stunning Magnificent Seven mansions built in the early 1900s.
